Issues & Commitments

My three priorities reflect where I believe West Vancouver can make the greatest long-term impact. They are supported by a broader commitment to responsible leadership and thoughtful action across the many issues that shape our community every day.

Responsible Leadership & Financial Stewardship

  • Support long-term planning for infrastructure and community facilities.

  • Maintain responsible financial stewardship and respect for taxpayers.

  • Communicate clearly with residents about municipal initiatives and decisions.

  • Work collaboratively with Council, staff, and community members.

Transportation & Getting Around

  • Improve safety and mobility by considering how transit, roads, walking, cycling, accessibility, and future development work together.

  • Strengthen connections between neighbourhoods, village centres, parks, and services.

  • Advocate with provincial and federal partners for improved transit and regional transportation investments.

Housing Options for Different Stages of Life

  • Support housing choices that respond to the changing needs of our community — including options for young people, families, renters, downsizers, and seniors who want to remain close to the people and community they know.

  • Focus growth thoughtfully, with attention to neighbourhood context, transportation, services, infrastructure, and good design.

  • Protect neighbourhood identity and heritage assets.

Environment & Resilience

  • Ensure environmental sustainability and climate resilience is woven throughout decisions about infrastructure, transportation, buildings, public spaces, and long-term planning.

  • Protect green spaces, forests, streams, and environmentally sensitive areas.

  • Continue restoration and enhancement projects along the foreshore and within local watersheds.

Support Community & Quality of Life

  • Support the people and places that bring life to our community—including arts and culture, recreation, youth opportunities, welcoming public spaces, local businesses, community organizations, and volunteers.

  • Support vibrant village centres where people can shop locally, meet friends, access services, and strengthen the social and economic life of our community.

  • Foster inclusive public spaces that work for residents of all ages and abilities.

  • Encourage youth engagement and civic participation.
